Chimay Rouge, also known as Chimay Première, is the oldest beer in Chimay’s Trappist lineup. It is a Belgian Dubbel with a smooth and malty profile, first brewed in 1862 by the monks of Scourmont Abbey.

Taste: Malty sweetness balanced by light bitterness, with flavors of caramel, dark fruit, toasted bread, and subtle spiciness. The yeast adds depth with earthy and slightly peppery notes.
